Let's break the stigma of Mental Health
Mental health is the most concerning matter nowadays. When we are doing our regular activities, some people silently dealing with their depression and anxiety. Even some years ago, people not used to give importance such issues. But the way time are passing people get to realized it's importance. In recent days, the world is becoming very competitive. Everywhere is competition going on and because of these reason expectation is also growing day by day. Everyday you have to do better and better. And after putting so much effort still you cannot satisfy anyone. From childhood, many of us gets into a sick competition to become first in everything. Some parents just pressurize their children that they have to be perfect all the time. These concept of being a typical perfectionist basically ruin our own personality. We can try but we cannot be perfect in everything and that's what we have to understand. These highly expectations from family and society put lot of life in danger. We got to hear about lot of news like students of university, college and schools committed suicide for cannot fulfil their expectations. People can stay mentally disturb for many reason, it can be their own self reason like failed relationships or from family, friends, close one's or any other reason. When we get into such situation that can really break our self confidence . Sometimes we also make question to our existence. So time and time when these things happens with us and we can't even share it with anyone that really hamper our mental peace.
As we see that mental health can be so dangerous so people are interested to know about it more and more. We are also taking effective steps for it. People are also becoming gentle with those persons who are dealing with such situation. Depression and anxieties can be so heart wrenching that it can drive a person to death. Every year on 10 October we celebrate mental health day to make a reminder for everyone that our mental health and peace is our priority.
Recently in our university, there was a mental health awareness campaign on mental health day. It was so nicely organized by respective club. There was some section where was happening different kind of activities. There was mirror where you have to look at yourself and write an inspiring quote for yourself. After that a section where in a bowl there was lot of chits, in those there was written some kind of activities. The chit you will pick up and the activity which was written you have to perform even it for 10 minutes a day and that should be a promise to ourselves. In another section some people were doing meditation and the whole atmosphere was so relaxing that I can't describe. These small things really affect a lot to mental health. That realizes us that we should give support to those person who are going through these situations.
