                                     UNLOCKED A NEW INTEREST


Can you imagine knowing something new about yourself at the age of 20? Okay! So that's what I did.

Me, who spends most her time in bed watching dramas, scrolling Instagram and playing games with friends, got to know that I am completely into something which i hardly realised.

Sky it is! My new favourite or I can say old interest but newly discovered.

So, how and when did I realise this interest of mine? Actually it was a few days ago when I was looking for a picture on my gallery to upload it on my Instagram story.

It was a one day trend that everyone followed by uploading a picture of the sky on their Instagram story. A trend with the name 'A Sky In Your Gallery'. So, basically all the stories appeared on my account that day was of the sky uploaded by all of my friends.

Just to follow the trend I thought I should also be uploading a pic on my Instagram story. It was midnight so I wasn't able to instantly click a picture and upload it on my story. That's why I thought of looking into my gallery in hope of finding a single picture of the sky, as I was never a sky lover so would have been really happy if found just a picture of it. That's when I realised how much I like the sky.

In hope of finding just one picture, doesn't really mattered whether it's good or not, I went into dilemma. Unable to choose which one to upload as I saw multiple pictures of the sky in my gallery which I have clicked last year.

I immediately created an album gathering all the pictures of the sky from my gallery together, just to see the number of photos I have of the sky. Funny! But I was really surprised.

It felt really nice in that particular moment by knowing the new thing I am interested in, even though I thought I don't have any fascination towards the sky but deep down I was into it.

My friends, doesn't matter whoever they are with, start's clicking the sky's picture if they see it in a different colours. Colours which I hardly understood before. I always used to think why should someone be so interested in such a big bald boring thing. But seeing all the pictures together made me realise that it's not the sky that's boring it was me actually. 

The changes in colours of the sky overwhelms me the most nowadays. It looks different than before every time we see it, having different of colours depending on the time of the day it is sometimes its blue, sometimes red, white, black, golden, purple, orange. Having different colours of clouds as well- white, grey. Seeing the distinct colours of the sky feels really good, creating a sense of peace and happiness.


Recently, after the realisation of my interest towards the sky, on my trip to Cox's Bazar, I woke up at 5:00am to see how the sky looks when the sun rises. Me who finds it really difficult to wake up at even 9:00am on regular days, that day I woke up at 5:00am just to see the sky and the beach together. So, this is how much passionate I am towards the sky nowadays.


This was really a blissful experience for me, knowing something new about myself which I was completely unaware about. There are still a lot of things that I don't know about myself, I think nobody exactly knows all about themselves. So, really curious to find something new again and experience the same feelings again.
